Dan Erickson is a fictional character in the TV-series "Land of the Giants." He was played by television actor Don Marshall.
Bio[]
Not much is known about the early life of Dan Erickson. Before he was a pilot, he was an Olympic athlete, but he ruined his leg in an accident and had to have it operated on. An Inella pin had to be placed in his leg afterward, but he could never be an athlete again. He is also a Jazz enthusiast, and can play the saxophone, using it to entertain himself while he studied to be a pilot. After getting his flight training, he became friends with Steve Burton, the two of them taking flights out of Los Angeles. While taking a small decommissioned craft known as the Spindrift, they encountered interstellar activity that trapped them on the Land of the Giants. Struggling to survive, Dan has shown great leadership skills is working with Steve to protect the passengers and repair the ship in order to get back home. In doing so, they encountered time-travelers named Berna and Thorg and used their devices to try and alter history and prevent the Spindrift from ending up on the Giant Homeworld. In doing so, they inadvertently set up the sequence of events leading up to the crash.
